Doing what’s necessary

Hi everyone 👋,
My name is Viviane, I’m your new Coach and Personal Trainer based in North London, and I want to officially welcome you to my website. It’s still under construction — the bricks are just being laid — but the foundation is here, and so am I.

I can’t explain how excited I am to finally be at this stage. It has been a long journey to get here, with plenty of challenges along the way, but here we are — ready to move forward together.

Now, let’s get to the point.


Where This Topic Came From

The inspiration for this first blog came while I was scrolling through Facebook. I came across a podcast with the French stand-up comedian Edgar-Yves (originally from Benin). He has this blunt and straightforward way of putting things, and one of his phrases stuck with me:

👉 “If something needs to be done, do what’s necessary.”

At first, it sounds simple, right? But the truth is, it’s a life principle we often forget.


What Does “Do What’s Necessary” Really Mean?

When we’re young, people often tell us things like this, but we don’t always grasp the full meaning. With time and experience, we begin to understand. Life constantly requires us to make choices, set priorities, and sometimes make tough decisions.

We all want to live life on our own terms. But here’s the key question: Are we actually doing what’s necessary to live fully and achieve our goals?

  • If you want a career you love, you must put in the work, face the challenges, and push past the doubts.
  • If you want to achieve a dream, you have to lock your mindset on it, stay consistent, and never let go.

Because the truth is, if you give up, regret will follow you — and none of us want to live with regrets.


Health & Wellness: Your Foundation

This principle applies directly to health and fitness too. Your body is the only place you truly live in. Think of it as your home: the better you take care of it, the better you’ll feel.

Looking after your health is not a luxury — it’s a necessity.

  • Nourish your body.
  • Move with purpose.
  • Respect the gift you’ve been given.

The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll feel the difference.
